Argentina snatched an injury time equaliser as Ecuador looked to pull of a shock victory in Buenos Aires.

Ecuador, 20/1 rank outsiders before the match, almost recorded an unbelievable result at Argentina on Sunday night. Patricio Urrutia gave Ecuador a second half lead and only a stoppage time equaliser by substitute Rodrigo Palacia spared Argentina’s blushes.

LDU Quito midfielder Urrutia scored with a venomous strike from the edge of the box which went in off the crossbar.

With time running out, Boca Juniors striker Palacio half volleyed in the equaliser from 12 yards out.
