Bayer Leverkusen turned on the style and went through 5-1 on aggregate after a resounding win against Turkish giants Galatasaray.

After a goalless first leg in Turkey, you may have thought this would have been a closer contest. However, Leverkusen found themselves 3-0 ahead after just 22 minutes and went 5-0 up before Galatasaray netted a consolation penalty three minutes from the end.

1 - 0 Sergej Barbarez (11 minutes)

Bosnia striker Barbarez gave the Bundesliga side an early lead when he headed in a cross from close range.

2 - 0 Stefan Kessling (13 minutes)

Kessling doubled Bayer’s lead two minutes later when he chipped Galatasaray goalkeeper Usak.

3 - 0 Sergej Barbarez (22 minutes)

Barbarez netted his second after 22 minutes, striking first time from 12 yards out.

4 - 0 Karim Haggui (55 minutes)

Tunisian defender Haggui fired in a rebound from close range from a Bernd Schneider free kick 10 minutes after the break.

5 - 0 Bernd Schneider (penalty 61 minutes)

Schneider got his name on the scoresheet five minutes later when he converted from the penalty spot.

5 - 1 Ahmed Apimah Barusso (penalty 87 minutes)

Barusso scored a consolation for Galatasaray from the penalty spot late on, but the Turkish side were soundly beaten by this stage.
