Liverpool kept up the pressure on the top three with a convincing victory at Bolton Wanderers, who slip ever closer to the relegation zone.

Liverpool secured a 3-1 victory at Bolton and are in good shape for their midweek meeting against West Ham United, who were crushed 4-0 by Chelsea this weekend.

0 - 1 Jussi Jaaskelainen (own goal 12 minutes)

A long range effort from Steven Gerrard came off keeper Jaaskelainen, hit the post and cruelly bounced into the net.

0 - 2 Ryan Babel (60 minutes)

Dirk Kuyt saw an initial shot parried by Jaaskelainen and then played the ball across the face of goal for Babel to fire into the near post.

0 - 3 Fabio Aurelio (75 minutes)

Aurelio controlled a poorly cleared ball on his chest and volleted in from 20 yards into the far corner.

1 - 3 Tamir Cohen (79 minutes)

Matt Taylor floated in a corner and Cohen headed in a consolation for the Trotters from six yards.
