Sunday sees the CIS Insurance Cup final between Scottish Premier clubs Dundee United and Rangers at Hampden Park.

Rangers have the chance to pick up their first piece of silverware of the season as they remain involved in four competitions. They play in the final of the CIS Insurance Cup three days before taking on local rivals Partick Thistle in the quarter finals of the Scottish FA Cup. The Gers sit three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier and have won their last 11 league matches in a row in what has been a congested fixture list. Dundee United won 2-1 at Tannadice Park in October when Lee Wilkie and a Barry Robson penalty cancelled out a Daniel Cousin penalty while the Gers recorded a 2-0 victory at Ibrox in January, with Steven Naismith and Barry Ferguson scoring in the first half. Rangers reached the final after beatingEast Fife 4-0 in the fourth round, Motherwell 2-1 in the quarter final and Hearts 2-0 in the semi final while Dundee United beat Falkirk 1-0 in the fourth round, Hamilton Academicals 3-1 in the quarter final and Aberdeen 4-1 in the semi final.
