Ecuador picked up another useful point when they held unbeaten Colombia to a goalless draw in Quito.

Colombia missed the chance to close the gap on both Argentina and Paraguay when they could only manage a 0-0 draw against Ecuador.

Colombia’s best scoring opportunity fell to Juan Carlos Escobar who volleyed wide from close range early in the second half while Ecuador’s Christian Benitez saw a free header sail over the bar.
