Rangers face a tough trip to Fiorentina for the second leg of their UEFA Cup semi final encounter after a goalless draw at Ibrox.

Fiorentina could have been the team to break Rangers’ clean sheet at Ibrox but the goalless first leg draw ensured the Scottish Premier champions are yet to concede a goal on home turf in the UEFA Cup. The Glasgow side remains the lowest scorers left in the competition and will be looking to change such a negative statistic in their second leg encounter against Fiorentina. Rangers, managed by Walter Smith, have been able to progress through the UEFA cup with all of their second legs outside of Scotland.

Fiorentina will be favourites to reach the final of the UEFA Cup but that should detract from the achievement Rangers have made in reaching this stage of the competition. The Gers.
