France go into Euro 2008 on a winning streak after a first half penalty was enough to see off Colombia on Tuesday night.

Thierry Henry won his 100th cap on the night and was involved in the goal when he was pulled back in the penalty area, in which Franck Ribery converted the resulting spot kick.

1- 0 Franck Ribery (penalty 24 minutes)

Bayern Munich Ribery left the goalkeeper standing with his penalty in a match where France had few goal scoring chances. Colombia hit the post twice but could not find the equaliser.
