France will be looking rekindle their amazing run of form which brought them World Cup and European glory from 1998-2000 when they match up against Colombia in their final friendly before the Euro 2008 tournament.

World number one for four consecutive years between 1998 and 2002, France have been a force to be reckoned with over the past decade. Nevertheless, they are a passionate side who play with determination and provide a good tempo and energy to the game. Whether they will be able to penetrate to organized French defense remains to be seen however, and critics may say Colombia lacks the composure to unnerve a team of France’s calibre.

Few will back Columbia to run off with the victory in this match-up especially since France will be looking to impress going into Euro 2008 jus a few days later, but one can never discount South American exuberance, and look for Columbia cause a few palpitations amongst French supporters come match day.
