Germany reached the Euro 2008 final after winning a five goal thriller against underdogs Turkey.
A lacklustre Germany side scraped through to the final after beating a superior Turkey side. Fatih Terim’s injury and suspension ravaged side took a shock lead against the Germans and threatened to take the match into extra time with a late equaliser to bring the score to 2-2 but Phillipp Lahm scored an injury time winner.
0 - 1 Ugar Boral (22 minutes)
A header from Colin Kazim-Richards came back off the crossbar but Fenerbahce defender Boral scrambled in the rebound through the legs of the flailing goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
1 - 1 Bastian Schweinsteiger (27 minutes)
Germany drew level five minutes later when Schweinsteiger scored with the outside of his foot after a cross from Lahm.
2 - 1 Miroslav Klose (79 minutes)
An error from veteran Turkey goalkeeper Rustu Recber, when he misjudged Lahm’s cross, allowed Klose to head home with 11 minutes left.
2 - 2 Semih Senturk (86 minutes)
But Turkey looked to take the match in extra time when Senturk stole in to score at the near post after good work from Galatasaray midfielder Sabri Sarioglu.
3 - 2 Phillipp Lahm (90 minutes)
In yet another stoppage time goal, Lahm exchanged passes with Thomas Hitzlsperger before rifling in the winner and sending Germany into the final
