Chinese club Guangzhou PFC will try to tackle the formidable force of west London Premiership juggernauts Chelsea, who will be eager to stamp their authority n every game they play in the build-up to the coming season. With new manager Luiz Filipe Scolari, who took Brazil to the World Cup title and worked wonders with Portugal, John Terry’s men will be on the hunt to regain their pride and claim European glory.

Guangzhou Pharmaceutical just completed their first season in the Chinese Superleague after nine seasons in the 2nd Division, and finished a respectable eighth. The club has previously played English clubs, having lost to Manchester United 2-0. They will hope they can improve on their performance this time around, with some Superleague experience behind them.
