Barnsley pulled off the shock of the round when they knocked Liverpool, FA Cup winners in 2006, out of the competition.

Everything appeared to be going well for seven-times FA Cup winners Liverpool after they took the lead in the first half. However, Championship side Barnsley equalised and with the match seemingly heading for a replay, Brian Howard struck a dramatic winner in stoppage time.

Ryan Babel pulled the ball back for Kuyt to score from close range after 32 minutes.

1 - 1 Stephen Foster (57 minutes)

Barnsley equalised when Foster headed in Martin Devaney’s cross.

1 - 2 Brian Howard (90 minutes)

With the match heading for a draw, Howard hit a dramatic winner from the edge of the box into the bottom corner to mark a momentous victory.
