Liverpool are yet to hit any kind of real form so far this season, having only managing an opening game draw with Aston Villa, and two further unconvincing victories, over Middlesbrough and Sunderland.

The goals that were scored in those games all came in the last ten minutes of play, with Gerrad and Torres finding the net.
