Portsmouth sent Manchester United crashing out of the FA Cup in a match which saw the Reds lose both goalkeepers.

Manchester United were dumped out of the FA Cup after Sulley Muntari scored the winner from the penalty spot with 12 minutes left. Edwin Van der Sar went off injured at half time and replacement Tomasz Kuszczak was sent off for fouling Milan Baros in the area. Defender Rio Ferdinand played out the final stages of the match in goal, but had no chance with Muntari’s effort from 12 yards.

Muntari gave stand-in keeper Rio Ferdinand no chance with a precision penalty into the right hand corner.
