A first half goal from Ronaldo sealed a place in the quarter finals for Manchester United at the expense of French champions Lyon.

Barcelona scored an early goal against Celtic which appeared to knock the stuffing out of the Scottish Premier side. No further goals were required and the La Liga club reached the last eight comfortably.

United finally break the deadlock four minutes before the break when Ronaldo squeezed in from an angle after Anderson’s blocked shot fell into his path.
