London-based club West Ham United will take on a collection of the Major League’s best when the MLS All Stars test their mettle against English opposition. The MLS All-Stars have played against Celtic, Chelsea and Fulham in the previous three years and will hope they can emerge victorious against a well rounded and experienced West Ham outfit.

The MLS has been on the rise in popularity and prestige in the past years, especially since the arrival of international star David Beckham, formerly of Manchester United and Real Madrid, to play for the LA Galaxy. West Ham finished in 10th position in last season’s Premiership competition, and will hope to get a good start to this campaign’s build up with a victory against the All-Stars. With quality players such as Freddy Ljungberg, Dean Ashton and Lucas Neill, they have the capability to compete the very best of sides.
