The Netherlands made it three out of three when they beat Romania and dumped them out of Euro 2008.

The Netherlands comfortably beat Romania to finish Group C with a maximum nine points. They did not need to beat Vitur Piturca’s side but second half goals from Klas Jan Huntelaar and Robin Van Persie ensured the Netherlands continued their winning momentum.

1 - 0 Klas Jan Huntelaar (54 minutes)

Ajax striker Huntelaar opened the scoring nine minutes into the second half when he slotted in a cross from Ibrahim Afellay.

2 - 0 Robin Van Persie (87 minutes)

Arsenal striker Van Persie added some gloss to the scoreline when he smashed home from close range with three minutes left.
