Manchester United could be eight points behind leaders Arsenal by the time this evening fixture kicks off and they cannot afford any more slip ups such as the 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur and 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City in their last two Premiership fixtures. Despite being a free scoring team under his leadership in the 1990s, the Magpies have scored just two goals in five. Defensively, they are similarly leaky as before, conceding 11 in five matches. Keegan’s side are six points above the relegation zone but could be closer to it when the fuill time whistle blows.
