Aston Villa begin their Intertoto Cup campaign with a potentially tricky tie against Danish side Odense BK.

Danish club Odenske BK will play Aston Villa, the fourth most successful English club in history, in the third round of the Intertoto Cup.

Both clubs will battle it out on the field for the chance to compete in the UEFA Cup, although each side may struggle to find fluency and team cohesion so early in their respective campaigns. If successful, the victorious side will join the second round of the UEFA Cup.

Odenske Bk, who have won 3 Danish Superliga titles and 5 Danish Cup championships, played in their 16th season in the Danish top flight this past year, and finished in fourth place for the second year running. After losing their home leg, OB achieved a remarkable 2-0 victory in Madrid to secure a spot in the quarter finals.
