PSV Eindhoven registered a comfortable first leg victory in their UEFA Cup match against Swedish outfit Helsingborgs IF.

PSV Eindhoven wrapped up the win in the first half thanks to goals from Timmy Simons and Danko Lazovic.

1 - 0 Timmy Simons (penalty seven minutes)

Defender Andersson fouled Lazovic in the area and Simons made no mistake from 12 yards.

2 - 0 Danko Lazovic (27 minutes)

Ibrahim Afellay struck a long range effort which the goalkeeper could only parry in front of Lazovic who duly struck home from 12 yards.
