World Cup 1998 and Euro 2000 champions France will be looking to rekindle glory after a heartbreaking defeat in penalties to Italy in the last World Cup. The being their campaign against Group C rivals Romania, who will enter the match as the minnows in the “group of death” with little hope.

The French enter Euro 2008 with an incredible squad with more club and international experience than most other countries. France were caught cold in the 2002 World Cup when they lost their opening game to Senegal and the Romanians are no mugs.
