Chelsea closed the gap on the top two to just three points after a slender victory at Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea showed they are still in the title race after a marginal win at Sunderland. It looked as though Roy Keane’s side should have had a penalty fter John Terry appeared to foul Roy O’Donovan in the box but the England captain went on to score what proved to be the winner shortly after.

Frank Lampard delivered a corner kick and defender Terry scored with a header from close range.
