Liverpool’s visit to White Hart Lane will end a disappointing season for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs will finish mid-table while the Reds have the final Champion’s League place secured in fourth place.

A dreadful start to season with only 2 wins from their first 10 matches left Tottenham a steep climb back to the top of the Premiership table, a challenge to which the team never rose. Spurs will have to hope that next year their talent and experience will bring them back as a force at the top of the table.

An exciting match at Anfield in October saw these teams draw 2-2 in their last meeting, with a Fernando Torres’ 90th minute goal saving face for the Reds after two Robbie Keane finishes threatened a home defeat. A close game is expected this time around with both teams having won their last games, but with little to play for, it may be a lackluster affair. The Reds’ superior form this season must make them favourites to win.

Spurs have not scored at home against the Reds in the last two meetings, with Liverpool winning 1-0 last season and a goalless draw the season before. Another tight game could be on the cards with both sides having little to play for - Liverpool are guaranteed Champions League football next season by finishing fourth in the league while Spurs have finished in mid table mediocrity. The matches finishes all square at Anfield earlier in the season and another stalemate could be on the cards at White Hart Lane.
