England brushed aside a poor Trinidad & Tobago side as they prepared for the World Cup qualifers which begin after the completion of Euro 2008.

England were comfortable throughout the match after going 2-0 up after just 16 minutes but manager Fabio Capello was not happy with the performance, claiming his players are not performing to their full capabilities.

In demand Aston Villa midfielder Barry broke the deadlock when he volleyed home after build up from Stewart Downing and Wayne Bridge.

0 - 2 Jermain Defoe (16 minutes)

Middlesbrough ace Downing was involved in the second goal when he laid on the ball to Portsmouth striker Defoe who finished calmly under Walsall keeper Clayton Ince.

0 - 3 Jermain Defoe (49 minutes)

Defoe converted a David Bentley cross four minutes after the break for his second and England’s third but he missed a later chance to complete a hat-trick.
