Spanish La Liga runners-up Villarreal will take on English giants Liverpool in another pre-season friendly where each side will need to perform exceptionally if they wish to emerge victorious as both teams have enjoyed many successes in recent years.

Manchester United’s Diego Forlan left England after a lackluster stint at the club only to become Villareal’s top scorer and a La Liga sensation, while Robert Pires has established himself in the squad since his transfer from Arsenal.
