Chelsea erased last weekend’s Carling Cup defeat with a comprehensive victory over London rivals West Ham United at Upton Park.
Chelsea outlined their Premiership intentions after a clinical win against West Ham. Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Michael Ballack and Ashley Cole were all on target for Avram Grant’s side.
Lampard was sent off after 35 minutes for kicking out at Luis Boa Morte but by then the Blues are already 3-0 ahead.

Nicolas Anelka created the opportunity for Cole to half-volley in a second goal for Chelsea into the far corner of the net.

Ballack finished sweetly inside the box with a first time effort after Lampard played in a pass with the outside of his foot.
